Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Connor Ratonhnhake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop blocks a jab. Ratonhnhake seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Andre Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bishop throws a lazy head kick and Ratonhnhake counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ratonhnhake stands up over Bishop, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ratonhnhake in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bishop being controlled here, momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Ratonhnhake preventing the sweep. Ratonhnhake trying to control the position from guard on top but Bishop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Connor Ratonhnhake just wasn't active enough. Ratonhnhake misses with an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ratonhnhake circles away from the clinch attempt and Ratonhnhake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bishop misses with a wild combination.
Bishop gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ratonhnhake counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bishop swings for the body but Ratonhnhake moves out of range.

Bishop is rocked! Bishop should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ratonhnhake lands a brutal uppercut that launches Bishop off his feet! Bishop tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Connor Ratonhnhake! Our winner, Connor Ratonhnhake, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
