The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregoire shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawson as he jumps to the side.
Gregoire fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gregoire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dawson as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Gregoire. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dawson thuds his shin into the meat of Gregoire's side.
Dawson tries to close the distance and clinch but Gregoire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dawson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gregoire is defended easily by Dawson.

Gregoire shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dawson defends it nicely.
Gregoire is breathing heavily.
Dawson connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Gregoire to the floor! Dawson dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Nick Gregoire has been cut.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dawson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dawson cracks Gregoire with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Mike Dawson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
