Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, yes. Miller has chosen Johnny Cash - Hurt as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Lamotta!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Miller!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lamotta.
Lamotta has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Araba Fenice in the buildup to the fight.
Miller shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lamotta throws a wild body kick that Miller sees coming a mile off.
Miller looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lamotta slips a straight right by Miller.
Lamotta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miller.
Miller dodges the punch combination from Lamotta.
Lamotta slips a jab from Miller.

Lamotta takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Miller has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lamotta.
Lamotta takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Miller closes the distance and clinches.
Lamotta wants to take the fight to the mat but Miller manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Miller tries to throw a body punch but Lamotta avoids it by throwing Miller back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lamotta lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lamotta lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Miller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lamotta throws out the jab.
Miller has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Lamotta will probably get the nod.

Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lamotta looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Lamotta's shoulder, as Lamotta tries to avoid the shot.
Lamotta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller.
Lamotta tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Miller thuds his right hand into Lamotta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Miller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lamotta lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lamotta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lamotta somewhat.
