21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dongmin Oh! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaFontier connects with a solid leg kick. Oh walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. LaFontier checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. LaFontier is looking to chop away at Oh's legs. LaFontier lands a head kick!
Oh ducks under a wild hook from LaFontier. Nice body kick from Oh. LaFontier lands a leg kick that knocks Oh off balance momentarily. LaFontier swings for the body but Oh moves out of range.
LaFontier takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! LaFontier throws a right hand that Oh ducks under and follows up with a left that Oh also avoids with ease. Oh is looking to chop away at LaFontier's legs. Charles LaFontier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A thudding body kick lands there by Oh!

Oh has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. An inside leg kick lands from Oh. Oh throws a front kick that sends LaFontier stumbling back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oh feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to LaFontier's calf. We've been hearing reports that LaFontier has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Oh throws a low kick but LaFontier moves out of range easily. Oh connects with a leg kick. LaFontier looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Oh lands with a thumping leg kick.
Oh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Oh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. LaFontier will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. LaFontier keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

It looks like Charles LaFontier has been cut. Oh throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. LaFontier avoids the head kick by Oh.
Oh is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down LaFontier rather than just go for the knockout. LaFontier takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Oh scores with a sloppy right hand. LaFontier should have avoided that one. Oh throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
LaFontier is rocked! LaFontier takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oh LaFontier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Oh ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking LaFontier out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dongmin Oh! Dongmin Oh decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
