The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimazu lands with a right hand.
Shimazu delivers a nice body kick.
Shimazu fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shimazu. Richards shrugs it off though.
Richards tries to keep at a distance but Shimazu has taken the fight into the clinch.
Shimazu misses with a knee strike.

Shimazu swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Richards's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Shimazu's coach down at The Cave Fighting Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shimazu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shimazu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Richards backwards.
Shimazu putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Richards in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Richards is breathing heavily.
Shimazu unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Richards takes a shot to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Shimazu.
Richards is rocked!
Shimazu unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Richards! He's leaning against the ropes trying to keep his feet but Shimazu is unloading with more strikes now! Richards drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Shimazu!
William Shimazu gave a mention to Conquer in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
