Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Gaskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaskins comes into the arena with Killing In The Name Of blaring out of the sound system. Norris has chosen The Night by Kromestatik as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Norris!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris moves out of range as Gaskins throws a body kick.
Gaskins blocks a head kick by Norris.
We've been informed that Norris has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Gaskins goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Grant Norris has been cut.
Norris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gaskins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Norris circles away quickly and effectively.

Gaskins lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Norris lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Gaskins connects with a body shot.
Norris misses with a head kick.

Gaskins has Norris up against the cage in a clinch.
Gaskins can't find room to land a body shot as Norris controls the action.
Gaskins works on Norris's body with a couple of short punches.
Norris tries to break the clinch but Gaskins is controlling the position.
Gaskins tries to throw a body punch but Norris avoids it by throwing Gaskins back against the cage.
Gaskins digs a right hand into Norris's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Norris's gas tank.
Norris blocks an uppercut.

Gaskins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Norris throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gaskins sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gaskins misses with a kick to the body.

Gaskins scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gaskins looks to land a combination but Norris avoids it well.
Gaskins checks a low kick from Norris.
Norris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gaskins tries to bum rush Norris with a series of wild strikes but Norris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gaskins throws a good cross that connects.

Gaskins dips to his left and cracks Norris with an uppercut!

Gaskins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris thows a body shot but no joy.
Gaskins throws a sloppy head kick
and Norris counters with a left and a right that stings Gaskins.
Norris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gaskins, as that shot connected.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gaskins.
Gaskins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A head kick from Norris lands but Gaskins takes it in his stride.
Danga de danga de dang - Norris scores with a four punch combination!
Gaskins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Norris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Norris looks winded!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Norris.
Gaskins keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Norris throws a hook but Gaskins blocks it.
Gaskins dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Norris takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gaskins ducks under a wild hook from Norris.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Norris lands a nice hook to Gaskins's body. Gaskins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gaskins throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Gaskins cracks Norris with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gaskins scores with a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gaskins fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Norris.

Gaskins lands a big head kick that sends Norris tumbling to the mat! Gaskins takes a step backwards and waves Norris back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Norris is still on wobbly legs! Can Gaskins finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Gaskins connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Norris to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Gaskins!
