Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideki Masada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masada comes to the ring accompanied by "Tokyo Drift (Restage Remix)" by Teriyaki Boyz. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rabago's choice of entrance music: Story of the Year-Anthem Of Our Dying Day. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideki Masada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ray Rabago! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rabago shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A head kick misses from Rabago. Masada just misses with a punch to the body.

Rabago changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Masada looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Masada manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Rabago trying to control but Masada postures up.
Rabago slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Masada trying to control the position from guard on top but Rabago is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rabago looking to control.
Masada throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rabago works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Masada slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masada is looking to stand up but Rabago won't let him. Rabago wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hideki Masada has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Crunch! Masada slams his shin into Rabago's torso. Masada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rabago circles away quickly and effectively. Masada shoots in for a takedown but Rabago shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hideki Masada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabago tries to close the distance and clinch up but Masada swats him away and circles back towards the center. Masada looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Masada fails with the takedown. Rabago closes the distance and clinches. Rabago is trying to pull guard but Masada has him pressed against the ropes. Masada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rabago stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hideki Masada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masada tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Masada defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rabago. Rabago tries to close the distance and clinch up but Masada swats him away and circles back towards the center. Masada wants to clinch. Masada pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Masada throws a nice inside leg kick. Rabago goes for a double leg but Masada avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Masada continues to drive forward. Rabago looking to slow down the pace here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rabago tries a knee to the head but Masada blocks it.
Masada has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rabago uses from the top position.

Masada knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rabago on the ground. Masada tries to land a sweep but no joy. Masada is breathing heavily. Rabago stays in close to Masada's body and controls the position. Rabago scoring with some ground and pound. Rabago passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rabago has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Masada is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rabago yanks on the arm and Masada is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rabago.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ray Rabago! A less than humble Ray Rabago misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
