Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benisato Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gordon Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Benisato Rage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage cracks Davidson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Davidson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Davidson gets caught flat footed, as Rage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rage wants to stand but Davidson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Davidson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rage accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rage tries to stand but Davidson is controlling from the bottom.
Davidson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Davidson has his foot on Rage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rage works his way back into a safe position though.
Davidson wants to stand up but Rage is controlling him.
Rage trying to stand up but can't free himself from Davidson's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davidson stuffs the takedown.
Gordon Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rage will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rage shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davidson but Davidson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Davidson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Davidson is breathing heavily.

Rage rushes Davidson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Davidson tries to break the clinch but Rage is controlling the position.
Rage keeps control of Davidson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Davidson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Rage is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Davidson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Davidson prevents Rage from improving his position.

Rage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Rage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No joy there for Davidson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rage clinches.
Davidson looking to stall.
Rage lands an uppercut.
Rage stalls.
Rage tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Davidson lands a takedown into guard.
Davidson stops Rage from standing up.
Davidson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rage can't keep his opponent in guard - Davidson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Davidson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davidson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rage!
Rage is looking to improve his position but Davidson isn't that keen on the idea.
Davidson cracks Rage with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rage is trying to stand up.
Davidson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
BOOM! Davidson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rage wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gordon Davidson will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Rage shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense.
Rage shoots for a double leg takedown but Davidson sprawls well. He's pushed Rage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Davidson darts in trying to clinch

and Rage counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rage.
Rage takes an elbow to the temple.
A bit of stalling here from Davidson.

Davidson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Rage is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rage is bucking up trying to escape but Davidson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rage is working to get back to half guard.
Davidson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Davidson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Davidson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Davidson wants to control the pace but Rage is squirming around nicely.
Rage is trying to escape the mount.
Rage tries to hold on but Davidson postures up.
Davidson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rage because Davidson loaded up on that one.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rage tries to hold on but Davidson postures up.
Rage throwing punches from his back. He's mounted here but still fighting back.
Davidson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rage is looking to escape.

Rage in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Davidson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rage tries to lock up and control but Davidson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Davidson wants to control the pace but Rage is squirming around nicely.
Rage sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Davidson wants to pass the guard but Rage is defending well.
Rage is refusing to be controlled, as Davidson sits in half guard.
Davidson is stalling here. Rage is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Davidson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rage has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Davidson is trying to control Rage's posture but Rage avoids it.
Davidson tries to bench press Rage off him but Rage keeps the position.
Rage cracks Davidson with an elbow. That is naaassty.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Rage prevents Davidson from getting the reversal.
Rage postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Davidson looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Davidson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Davidson tries to lock up and control but Rage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Benisato Rage will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Rage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davidson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rage wants to control from the top but Davidson keeps moving.

Davidson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Davidson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davidson tries to clinch up.
Rage has his takedown stuffed
and Davidson counters with a solid body kick.
Rage shoots in but Davidson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gordon Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benisato Rage.
Davidson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Davidson throws a sloppy head kick and Rage moves out of range easily.

Rage closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Davidson wants to improve his position but Rage is controlling well.

Rage stands up and beckons Davidson to join him on the feet.

No luck for Rage with that takedown attempt.
Rage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davidson swivels and escapes.
Rage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davidson as he avoids it easily.
Davidson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Davidson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rage circles away.
Rage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rage shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Rage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rage tries to clinch but Davidson moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rage.
Rage takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Davidson tries to clinch up but Rage circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rage gets the takedown into side control.
I wouldn't like to be where Davidson is right now.
Davidson can't do much from the bottom here.
Davidson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rage's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benisato Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rage has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
