The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Inglis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones shoots in but Inglis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Inglis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Inglis ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Inglis.

Jones looks gassed! Jones throws a looping overhand right but Inglis ducks down to avoid it. Inglis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inglis landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Jones tries to improve position but can't. Inglis decides to stand back up. Inglis steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet. A combination from Inglis does no damage. Inglis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Inglis closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Inglis has him pressed against the cage. Inglis prevents Jones from breaking the clinch. Inglis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Inglis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Inglis has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Inglis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Inglis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jones tries to buck Inglis off but Inglis is having none of it. Jones wants to get back to his feet. Inglis tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs. Jones is looking to reverse the position. Inglis trying to control the position but Jones is working away. Jones prevents Inglis from moving into mount. Jones is looking for a sweep. Inglis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Inglis throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Inglis. Jones prevents Inglis from improving position. Jones manages to get back to half guard. Inglis decides to return to a standing position. Inglis feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Inglis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Inglis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Inglis trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is looking for a triangle but Inglis pushes his legs off easily.
Inglis tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones has his feet on Inglis's thighs here. He's pushed Inglis off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Inglis screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
