Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russell Ives! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Svensen! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svensen tries to clinch but Ives is having none of it. Ives misses the jab. Ives wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ives moves out of range as Svensen throws a body kick.
Svensen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ives throws a big shot that misses. Svensen moves into the clinch. Svensen is trying to drag Ives to the mat but Ives just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Svensen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ives is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Svensen is aware though and is defending well. Svensen tries to free his leg and advance position but Ives is retaining full guard. Svensen forces his way into half guard. Ives actively working from the bottom here. Svensen trying to pass the guard but Ives defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Svensen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ives does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Svensen slips a nice elbow through Ives's hands, connecting with Ives's forehead. Ives manages to get to full guard.
Ives escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Svensen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Svensen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Svensen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Svensen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Svensen postures up.
Ives will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Svensen passes Ives's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Svensen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Svensen is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ives is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
