Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flash Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dougie Inglis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flash Rage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flash Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dougie Inglis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inglis misses with a hook.

Rage closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rage lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Inglis is keeping the position for now.
Inglis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Inglis thowing shots but they're missing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rage tries to hold on but Inglis postures up.
Rage is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Inglis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rage is now in Inglis's guard. A big mistake from Inglis there, giving up the dominant position!

Inglis working for submissions but it's allowed Rage to get to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Inglis tries to get to full guard but Rage has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inglis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rage stands up and beckons Inglis to join him on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Inglis cracks Rage with a good jab.
Rage connects with the punch.
Rage looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rage shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Inglis pinned against the cage. Inglis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Inglis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rage swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Inglis moves into range and clinches up with Rage.
Rage gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Inglis.

Rage has Inglis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Rage pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Inglis tumbling to the mat - Rage dives into Inglis's guard.
Inglis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rage!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flash Rage dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Rage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rage cracks Inglis with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Inglis is looking for a sweep.

Rage looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Inglis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rage off and has taken his back!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rage is having to fend off submission attempts from Inglis, who is looking to sink in the choke. Inglis doesn't have the hooks in though and Rage manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Inglis wants to hit a switch here but Rage passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Inglis there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Inglis is wriggling around trying to escape.

Rage gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rage looks to score with a jab to the body but Inglis is just out of range.
Inglis avoids the body shot from Rage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rage.
Inglis tries to clinch but Rage moves out of range.
Inglis tries to clinch but Rage is having none of it.
Inglis keeps the fight on the outside.

Inglis rushes Rage and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Inglis tries to land a knee to the head but Rage blocks with his arms.
Rage tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Inglis just stands there and leans against the cage.

Rage pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rage ducks under a wild hook from Inglis.
Inglis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rage.


It looks like Flash Rage has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Inglis.
No joy there for Inglis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rage takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rage cracks Inglis with a good jab.
Inglis throws a right and a left that Rage avoids nicely.
Rage fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flash Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rage lands a nice hook to Inglis's body. Inglis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Rage scores with a takedown into Inglis's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Inglis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rage stacks Inglis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rage!

Rage decides to stand up, so the ref orders Inglis to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flash Rage dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Flash Rage's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Inglis has Rage up against the cage in a clinch.
Rage tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Inglis smiles and moves away.
Inglis tries to clinch there but Rage circles away.
Inglis misses with a body kick.
Inglis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rage's head.
Inglis falls off balance throwing a combination

and Rage counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Inglis!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Inglis wants to control but Rage is having none of it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rage tries to control but Inglis wriggling away.
A nice elbow there by Rage.
Inglis looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rage has the hooks in. Inglis is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Inglis preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Rage.
Inglis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rage's guard. Nice work there by Inglis.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inglis throwing strikes from guard but Rage blocks nicely.
Inglis slips nicely into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Inglis scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Well, if Inglis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rage looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dougie Inglis.
I think Rage has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
