Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Leeroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Zar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leeroy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Leeroy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zar to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Zar. No joy for Leeroy on that attempt. Zar shoots in and drives through. Leeroy sprawls well. Leeroy rushes Zar and presses him up against the cage. Zar tries a body shot but Leeroy blocks it.
Zar fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bruce Leeroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Zar. Leeroy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Zar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Leeroy has him pressed against the cage. Zar is trying to drag Leeroy to the mat but Leeroy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leeroy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Leeroy. Zar drops down looking for an ankle pick but Leeroy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Leeroy has his takedown stuffed and Zar counters with a nice double leg into guard. Zar trying to control the position from guard on top but Leeroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zar trying to stand up but can't free himself from Leeroy's guard. Leeroy wants to sweep here but Zar controlling him for the moment. Leeroy pushes Zar off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leeroy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Zar tries to buck Leeroy off but Leeroy is having none of it. Leeroy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zar to his feet. Leeroy moves into range and clinches up with Zar. This has been an exciting period of action! Zar wants to get back to striking at distance but Leeroy won't allow it.
Zar wants a takedown.
Zar looks gassed! Leeroy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leeroy shoots for a double leg takedown but Zar sprawls well. He's pushed Leeroy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Zar closes the distance and clinches. Zar fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Leeroy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Leeroy tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leeroy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Leeroy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leeroy is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Zar fails to pull guard.

Leeroy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Zar wants to control from the top but Leeroy keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leeroy is trying to control the position but Zar postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Leeroy dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Leeroy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zar's guard. Leeroy stays in close to Zar's body and controls the position. Zar wants to sweep but no luck. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zar can do anything to dispel that myth. Leeroy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Leeroy is fighting to break Zar's control of his arms but Zar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Leeroy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Zar wants to stand but Leeroy is controlling the position. Zar is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leeroy stays in close to Zar's body and controls the position. Zar working a defensive guard here.
Zar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Leeroy tries to free his leg and advance position but Zar is retaining full guard. Leeroy stands and throws Zar's legs to the side, diving into side control. Leeroy happy to just control the position for now. Zar is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Zar is not content to let Leeroy control the position. Leeroy moves into full mount! Leeroy looking to finish Zar with some ground and pound. This is bad for Zar! Leeroy looking to control but Zar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Leeroy working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Leeroy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zar is looking to improve his position but Leeroy isn't that keen on the idea. Leeroy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Zar wants to hold on but Leeroy pushes him away. Leeroy controlling his opponent. Zar tries to hold on but Leeroy pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leeroy looking to control but Zar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zar doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Leeroy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Leeroy connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Leeroy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Zar is trying to stand. Leeroy working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leeroy scoring with strikes but Zar is staying in there. Leeroy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zar looks a forlorn figure.
Leeroy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Leeroy controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Leeroy dominated that second round. That's time! Leeroy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Leeroy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zar counters by clinching up. Leeroy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leeroy tries to clinch up but Zar circles away and keeps his distance. Zar is looking to clinch. Leeroy has his takedown stuffed and Zar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Leeroy! Leeroy working to try and regain half guard.
Zar tries to control but Leeroy wriggling away. Zar lands a big elbow. You get the feeling that Leeroy really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leeroy is trying desperately to improve position. Zar avoids the attempt from Leeroy to control. Zar controlling the position easily from mount. Zar pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Leeroy is squirming around, avoiding Zar's attempts to control the action. Zar scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Leeroy wants to hold on but Zar pushes him away. Zar goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Leeroy is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leeroy gets to his feet. Zar looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Leeroy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Leeroy won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Leeroy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leeroy isn't going anywhere. You can see the frustration on Leeroy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Leeroy defending against the ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. Zar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leeroy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Leeroy can't do much from the bottom here. Leeroy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Leeroy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zar drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Lou Zar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Leeroy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
