Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and War Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pat Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, War Machine! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machine gets a takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nice strikes from Machine there. Peters tries to get to full guard but Machine has control of the leg. Machine is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peters is just riding it out for now. Machine eventually gives up the hold. Peters is looking to control Machine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Peters avoid being mounted? Peters tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Peters is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Machine scores with a couple of nice shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Machine looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peters with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Machine trying to control the action but Peters is working from the bottom. Peters wants to get back to his feet. Machine scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters trying to control here.
Machine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Peters is looking to control Machine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Peters avoid being mounted? Machine trying to control the action but Peters is working from the bottom. Machine wants to pass to mount but Peters is defending the position. Peters is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Machine's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Machine's back! Peters has the hooks in. Machine is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Machine trying to control the position but Peters manages to sink in the hooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Machine is in bad spot here.
Machine tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Peters looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Peters is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Machine has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Peters is breathing heavily. Machine tries to hold on but Peters postures up. Peters has hold of Machine's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Machine manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Machine regains half guard. Peters prevents Machine from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machine trying to control but Peters postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Machine can do anything to dispel that myth. Machine is controlling Peters's position as best he can from this difficult position. Peters trying to control from half guard but Machine is working away. Machine wants to control but Peters is keeping busy and won't allow it. Machine is pressing down on Peters's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Machine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Peters wants to stand but Machine is controlling his posture from full guard. Machine wants to sweep here but Peters controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peters postures up.
Peters drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peters jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Peters would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Machine is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Peters preventing the sweep. Machine looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Peters trying to control the position from guard on top but Machine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Machine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peters manages to get himself to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peters is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
War Machine dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Machine shoots in and gets a takedown into Peters's guard. Machine works over Peters with some ground and pound from guard. Machine with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Machine working some strikes from top position. Peters keeping moving, preventing Machine from controlling successfully. Peters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Machine lands a couple of digs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peters looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Machine lands a couple of elbows. Peters can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Machine controls the pace. Machine keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peters's head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machine showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Machine postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. War Machine has got the better of the ground game so far. Machine is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Machine won't allow Peters to sweep him here. Machine lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machine is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Machine looking to pass the guard. Machine trying to control but Peters is working from the bottom. Machine makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Machine lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Machine trying to control but Peters is working from the bottom. Peters controls Machine momentarily but Machine frees himself. Machine drops back looking for a leg! Peters is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Peters manages to kick Machine off! Machine jumps back into Peters's guard. Machine's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Machine's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Peters could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Machine is working Peters over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Machine throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peters works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peters can't keep his opponent in guard - Machine advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters trying to hold on to Machine's head to control him but Machine postures up.
Machine prevents Peters from improving his position. Machine slows the pace down in half guard. Machine is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Peters has managed to free his arm - good work. Machine performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Nice strikes from Machine there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machine slips a nice elbow through Peters's hands, connecting with Peters's forehead. Machine is looking for a kimura here.
Peters is trying to control but can't.
Peters misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Machine landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Machine has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Peters gets back to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Peters has momentary wrist control but Machine slips an elbow through the middle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Machine working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Peters is rocked! Machine connects with a couple of short punches. Oh Peters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Machine arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Peters's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). War Machine!
