Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Marquis Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Savior!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savior instigates a clinch.

Savior jumps into guard, dragging Stewart to the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Savior will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Savior pulls Stewart in to control the position.
Stewart throwing strikes from guard but Savior blocks nicely.
Stewart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Savior is proving hard to escape from.
Stewart is looking to work some ground and pound but Savior has wrist control.
Savior throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stewart cracks Savior with a solid left hand.
Stewart working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stewart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Savior controlling the position.

Savior working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stewart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stewart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Savior has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Savior has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Stewart should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Savior has tightened it up now! Stewart should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
