Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laks Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Velasquez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Laks Damn's chin.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Laks Damn has been cut.
Velasquez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Jose Velasquez has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Velasquez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck for Damn with that takedown attempt.
A big left from Damn misses.
Velasquez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Damn closes the distance and clinches up with Velasquez, looking for a takedown. Damn pushes Velasquez against the cage but Velasquez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laks Damn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Velasquez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Damn moves out of range of the strikes.
Velasquez slips a jab and a cross from Damn.
Damn dodges the punch combination from Velasquez.
Damn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Velasquez.
Damn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velasquez's waist but Velasquez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Damn off to one side.
Damn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Velasquez.
Velasquez blocks a low kick nicely.
Damn missing with a left hand there. Velasquez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Velasquez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Velasquez fails to land with a series of punches.
Damn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Velasquez misses with a two punch combination.
Jose Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Velasquez to score with a decent uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Damn misses with a looping left.
Damn looks to score with a jab to the body but Velasquez is just out of range.
Damn slips a jab and a cross from Velasquez.

Damn throws a left that rocks Velasquez and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Damn dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Velasquez regain composure!

Velasquez is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Damn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Velasquez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Velasquez is still in real trouble! Can Damn finish him?
Velasquez defending against the ground and pound.
Velasquez seems to have recovered his senses.
Damn misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Damn fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Velasquez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Damn presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Velasquez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Damn.
Damn throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damn misses with a head shot.
Damn punching from mount but Velasquez doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Damn quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Damn but it's paid off an Velasquez is forced to tap! Nice work by Damn.
