The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman tries a head kick but it misses.
Asquith swats away the attempt to clinch by Weidman.
Weidman tries to clinch up.
Asquith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Asquith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weidman as he jumps to the side.
Weidman throws a head kick but Asquith moves out of range.
Weidman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Asquith swats away the attempt to clinch by Weidman.
Asquith's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Asquith duly obliges.
Weidman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Weidman drops Asquith with a beautiful combination! Asquith stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Weidman is looking for the KO!
Asquith is rocked!
It looks like George Asquith has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Asquith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weidman pinned against the cage. Weidman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oh Asquith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Asquith misses with a head kick.
Weidman closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Asquith out cold! Asquith corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Chris Weidman decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
