Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Hewson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bam Blimm! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blimm fails to land with a series of punches.
Hewson swings away with a leg kick that misses. Blimm throws a right hand that Hewson ducks under and follows up with a left that Hewson also avoids with ease. No joy there for Hewson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blimm is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hewson throws a right and a left that both miss. Blimm blocks a jab. Some wild striking there from Blimm.
Hewson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blimm. Blimm takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bam Blimm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hewson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Blimm checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hewson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Blimm looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Blimm avoids the body shot from Hewson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blimm throws a series of punches but Hewson moves out of range. A combination from Blimm does no damage. Hewson dodges the punch combination from Blimm.
Blimm throws a nice looking combination but Hewson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hewson throws a right hand that misses
and Blimm counters by moving into the clinch. Hewson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blimm has him pressed against the cage. A shot to the liver by Hewson. Beautiful body shot. Hewson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blimm. Hewson misses with the combination.

and Blimm counters with a good low kick that Hewson was not able to check. Hewson misses with an uppercut. Blimm keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blimm scores with a jab to the jaw. Blimm lands a jab to the nose. A combination from Hewson does no damage. Blimm throws a push kick but Hewson slaps the foot to one side.

and Hewson counters with a one-two to the body. Blimm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hewson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big left from Hewson misses. Hewson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blimm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Blimm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hewson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hewson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hewson ducks right into an uppercut from Blimm. Hewson takes one to the chin there. Hewson throws a hook to the side of Blimm's head but Blimm sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paul Hewson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hewson is rocked! Blimm drops Hewson with a huge uppercut! Hewson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Blimm is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bam Blimm! An out of breath Bam Blimm thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
