Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guil Ty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artie DeVanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artie DeVanzo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Guil Ty's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVanzo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ty finds it's way round the side to connect with DeVanzo's head.
Ty definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
DeVanzo cracks Ty with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ty throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

DeVanzo moves into range and clinches up with Ty.
Ty can't break the clinch.
Ty wants to get back to striking at distance but DeVanzo won't allow it.
Ty tries to break the clinch but DeVanzo is controlling the position.

Ty escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ty throws a jab but it's blocked by DeVanzo.
DeVanzo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ty.
Ty throws a hook to the side of DeVanzo's head but DeVanzo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ty blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
DeVanzo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ty.

DeVanzo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ty's elbow.

Ty wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
DeVanzo misses with a punch to the body.
DeVanzo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ty has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ty throws a punch but it's blocked by DeVanzo.
DeVanzo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

DeVanzo is trying to trip Ty. He has hold of a leg but Ty is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. DeVanzo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ty is looking to stand back up but DeVanzo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ty.

DeVanzo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ty knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
DeVanzo thows a huge punch but Ty dodges it nicely.
Ty is looking to get back to is feet but DeVanzo passes into side control.

DeVanzo cracks Ty with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Ty is looking to get back to his feet here but DeVanzo is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ty's back.
Ty controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
DeVanzo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ty defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DeVanzo is landing with strikes from the back.
DeVanzo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ty looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
DeVanzo scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

DeVanzo cracks Ty with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Ty from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

It looks like Guil Ty has been cut.
DeVanzo is loading up with his shots from the back and Ty is in big trouble! Ty taps out to strikes and the fight is over!
