Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Napalm Chief! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samuraimo Rassi! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chief tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rassi throws a shot from downtown. Chief moves away and avoids it. Rassi looks to land a left hand but Chief moved out of range nicely. Chief misses with a head kick.
Chief dodges the punch combination from Rassi.
Chief fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chief stuns Rassi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rassi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chief on the side of the head. Rassi throws a looping overhand right but Chief ducks down to avoid it. Chief on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Napalm Chief has been cut. Rassi is looking to clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Chief misses with a head kick.
Chief fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rassi. Rassi missing with a left hand there. Chief was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rassi throws a sloppy head kick and Chief moves out of range easily. Samuraimo Rassi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rassi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chief throws a front kick aimed at Rassi's knee but Rassi avoids it well. Chief avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rassi has Chief up against the cage in a clinch.

A shot in the inside from Rassi. Rassi pushes off an throws an elbow but Chief leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Rassi.

Rassi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chief trying to stall but Rassi improves his position.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Chief for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. I was talking to Chief's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Chief lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rassi backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rassi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rassi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Chief defending well as Rassi loads up on a big left hand. Chief misses with a few strikes there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rassi thows a body shot but no joy. Chief throws the left hand but Rassi avoids the punch easily.

Chief lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rassi backwards. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chief slows down the pace here.
Rassi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuraimo Rassi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Napalm Chief's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rassi throws a right hand that Chief ducks under and follows up with a left that Chief also avoids with ease. Rassi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chief moves away. Chief cracks the inside of Rassi's front leg. Rassi misses with a head kick.

Rassi darts in trying to clinch and Chief counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rassi moves in looking to clinch but Chief pushes him off. Chief slips a jab and a cross from Rassi.

Chief connects with a crisp jab. A swing and a miss from Rassi. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Good leg kick by Chief there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Samuraimo Rassi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Napalm Chief's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Rassi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Chief jumps guard but Rassi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A head punch blocked on the inside by Chief. Rassi lands a hook to the side of the head. Rassi lands a shot to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rassi with a knee to the head.

Rassi cracks Chief with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rassi wants to clinch up but Chief keeps it at a distance. Chief is looking to wear down Rassi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Rassi lands a nice hook to Chief's body. Chief takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rassi scores with the left hand. Chief knows he should have avoided that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rassi throws a wild body kick that Chief sees coming a mile off. Rassi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chief swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chief takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Samuraimo Rassi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chief throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Chief counters with a left and a right that stings Rassi. Chief has closed the distance and engaged Rassi in a clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Good anti-grappling being displayed by Chief as Rassi tries to tie him up.
And that's the end of the fight! Samuraimo Rassi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rassi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
