Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jefferson Burnett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dudley Fysecks! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fysecks gets caught flat footed, as Burnett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Burnett postures up and lands a big shot to Fysecks's brow. Fysecks wants to get back to his feet but Burnett is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Burnett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Burnett postures up in Fysecks's guard and throws a big left but Fysecks blocks it. Burnett throwing strikes but missing. Burnett really is a fat lump. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burnett working some strikes from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burnett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burnett throws a big right hand that misses. Burnett works over Fysecks with some ground and pound from guard. Burnett trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fysecks's guard. Burnett gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Burnett has closed the distance and engaged Fysecks in a clinch.

Fysecks lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Burnett is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fysecks is defending well for now. Fysecks has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Burnett is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fysecks is keeping busy. Fysecks misses with the head strike.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fysecks gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Burnett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fysecks! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burnett tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fysecks defends well and Burnett ends up having to push Fysecks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Burnett tries to stall but Fysecks uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Burnett throws a big elbow that misses. Burnett scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Burnett stands and steps away. Fysecks gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burnett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fysecks is breathing heavily. Burnett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fysecks sprawls well initially but Burnett persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fysecks blocking the ground and pound attempt from Burnett. Burnett is trying to work for a kimura but Fysecks is defending well.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fysecks's half guard. Burnett working over Fysecks with some ground and pound. Fysecks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Burnett scoring with strikes to the body and head. Burnett not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burnett is nestled in close to Fysecks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Burnett looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Burnett winds up and cracks Fysecks with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burnett drops an elbow to the side of Fysecks's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Burnett connects with a nice short shot to Fysecks's temple. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Burnett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jefferson Burnett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fysecks is defending against the submission attempts here by Burnett.

Fysecks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burnett shoots in for a takedown but Fysecks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Burnett tries to clinch but Fysecks is having none of it.

Fysecks seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Burnett has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Fysecks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fysecks is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Burnett asserts his dominance and retains side control. Burnett throws an elbow but Fysecks slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fysecks defending against the ground and pound. Fysecks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fysecks managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Burnett.
Burnett creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fysecks sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Fysecks parries the strikes from Burnett easily there. Burnett is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fysecks to escape.
Burnett working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fysecks regains half guard, as Burnett was trying to land strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Burnett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fysecks's head. Burnett throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Burnett wants to work for an arm triangle but Fysecks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Jefferson Burnett showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burnett, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
