The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perkins, pushing him back against the cage.
Perkins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Diego breaks from the clinch.
Perkins with a poor takedown
and Diego decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perkins's guard.
Perkins avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Diego wanted to stand there but Perkins had control of the position.
Diego stays in close to Perkins's body and controls the position.
Perkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diego can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
