The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews throws a head kick but Thes moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thes. Thes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Andrews really is a fat lump. Thes looks to clinch and Andrews counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice sprawl there from Thes as Andrews shoots in. Andrews is looking to clinch. Andrews has a takedown stuffed. Thes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Andrews clinches up against the cage. Thes looking for a takedown. Andrews throws a right and a left that both miss. Thes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Andrews counters with a good low kick that Thes was not able to check. Andrews clinches up against the cage. Andrews stalls. Thes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Andrews can't find room to land a body shot as Thes controls the action.
