Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joan Mcclain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamont Banner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mcclain takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mcclain avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Banner. Those never looked like landing.
Banner thows a leg kick but Mcclain checks it
and Mcclain counters by clinching up.
Mcclain lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Banner is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Mcclain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Banner lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mcclain checks a low kick from Banner.
Banner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcclain.
Banner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mcclain back to the cage. Banner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Banner throws a right hand that Mcclain ducks under and follows up with a left that Mcclain also avoids with ease.

Mcclain gets the takedown into side control.
Mcclain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Banner has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mcclain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Banner is not content to let Mcclain control the position.
Mcclain is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Banner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcclain cracks Banner with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Banner tries to escape but Mcclain is in control.
Mcclain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Banner, who protects the arm well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcclain landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcclain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mcclain has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Mcclain is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Banner.
Banner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Banner thuds a left hand into Mcclain's body.
Banner stalks Mcclain and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mcclain's face. Mcclain staggers backwards, shaken.
Mcclain misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Banner fails to land with a series of punches.
Lamont Banner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Banner throws a series of punches but Mcclain moves out of range.
Banner motions for Mcclain to come forward. Banner throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Banner misses with a few strikes there.
Banner lands a jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Mcclain checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Banner ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Banner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mcclain eats them both and turns towards Banner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Banner is working the combinations to good effect here.

Banner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcclain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joan Mcclain will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mcclain is rocked!
Banner throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Mcclain's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Banner dives in looking to finish as Mcclain flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Banner's strikes! Banner is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Mcclain's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Mcclain was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lamont Banner!
