Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Gray has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Gray! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gray. Gray misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Alexander decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Gray is refusing to be controlled, as Alexander sits in half guard. Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Alexander scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Alexander working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ground and pound from Alexander. Alexander is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gray doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alexander. Gray is looking for a sweep. Alexander is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gray trying to control from the bottom.
Alexander throwing shots but Gray is blocking nicely. Gray is refusing to be controlled, as Alexander sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander lands strikes from half guard. Gray is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gray missing with punches from the bottom.
Alexander thows a huge punch but Gray dodges it nicely.
Alexander is trying to control. Gray wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Alexander has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Gray looking for submissions off his back. Alexander seems to be working for a kimura but Gray defends the submission attempt. Gray regains full guard. Nicely done. Gray trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander throwing strikes from guard but Gray blocks nicely. Alexander tries to free his leg and advance position but Gray is retaining full guard. Gray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gray is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alexander controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Alexander scoring with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alexander stopping the sweep attempt from Gray. Alexander forces his way into half guard. Alexander working over Gray with some ground and pound. Gray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Alexander throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gray wants to improve his position but Alexander is controlling well.
Gray works his way to full guard. Good work. Alexander is looking to work some ground and pound but Gray has wrist control. Gray tries to strike from the bottom.
Gray keeping moving, preventing Alexander from controlling successfully. Alexander throws an elbow that misses. Gray uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alexander's guard. Nice move by Gray! Alexander looking for a sweep. Not yet Alexander, not yet. Alexander trying to keep a closed guard but Gray is proving a slippery customer.
Alexander wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Gray trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ben Gray wasn't active enough on the ground. Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Gray, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Gray against the cage but Gray circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Alexander fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gray is looking to clinch. Gray tries to clinch there but Alexander circles away.
Alexander throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alexander is in Gray's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gray is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alexander postures up in Gray's guard and throws a big left but Gray blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Alexander throws a big elbow that misses. Alexander wants to control from the top but Gray keeps moving. Alexander is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Alexander dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Alexander. Gray misses with a takedown attempt and Alexander counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gray's guard now. Alexander missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Alexander cracks Gray with a solid left hand. Gray looking for a sweep. Not yet Gray, not yet. Alexander is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Alexander working some strikes from top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alexander preventing the sweep. Gray is looking for a triangle but Alexander pushes his legs off easily.

Alexander doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gray is tightening it up a little... Alexander has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Alexander reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Alexander taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gray!
