Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pablo Out!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Ward!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward needs to keep his hands up - Out had a free shot at his head there.
Out looks to land a right hand but Ward moved out of range.
Out fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ward manages to avoid it.
Ward keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Out.
Ward moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Out throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ward sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ward on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Out throws a hook but Ward avoids it easily.
Ward moves into range and connects with a jab.
Out looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ward felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Out is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Out is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Out is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ward is just riding it out for now. Out eventually gives up the hold.
Out passes to full mount!
Out has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Out looking to secure an arm triangle but Ward defends it well.
Out avoids the attempt from Ward to control.
Out is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ward has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ward!
Out preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ward pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Out is keeping the position for now.
Out looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ward passes into side control.
Ward is looking to take a break and control but Out is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ward in side control, throwing shots but Out defends.

Ward thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Out tries to improve position but can't.
Ward throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Out is trying to improve his position.
Out manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ward is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Out's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Out's back!

I really don't envy Out right now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ward wants to control but Out is keeping busy.
Out is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ward gets his way!

Out defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ward's arms.
Out breaks Ward's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Out stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ward swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ward looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Out thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ward looking for a sweep. Not yet Ward, not yet.
Out pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ward is keeping the position for now.
Ward not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Out drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ward manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Out has Ward in his guard.
Out looking for a guillotine here but Ward defends easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ward drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ward seems to have locked his on tight now - Out screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ward, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Liam Ward!
In defeat, Pablo Out stepped up to the mic, saying 'sorry guys for this loss but you know what I think a rubber match is necessary? What do you guys think?!'.
