Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Jamal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohamed Jamal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rufus Lee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamal shoots in but Lee avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jamal fails to land the takedown.

Jamal closes the distance and clinches.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jamal has him pressed against the cage.

Jamal decides to pull guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jamal has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lee is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Lee is trying to maintain a safe position but Jamal gets an underhook and turns Lee into the cage.

Jamal breaks the clinch.
Jamal swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Jamal shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jamal's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohamed Jamal. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jamal lands a nice knee to the body.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jamal fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lee catches Jamal with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice takedown defense from Jamal. No joy for Lee on that attempt.

and Jamal counters with a head kick. That will keep Lee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Lee tests Jamal's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Lee drops Jamal with a left right combo! Lee follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Mohamed Jamal has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jamal wants to control but Lee postures up.
Lee looks up at the clock and then as Jamal takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lee smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jamal tries to bench press Lee off him but Lee keeps the position.
Jamal struggling a bit here.
Jamal is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lee asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lee tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jamal's legs.
Jamal wants to get back to his feet but Lee drags him back down.

Lee is trying to get an arm triangle but Jamal is defending well.
Jamal is throwing a few token shots, despite Lee being in side control.
Lee throws an elbow but Jamal slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jamal wants to get back to his feet but Lee drags him back down.
Jamal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lee tries to score with some ground and pound. Jamal controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Lee misses with the ground and pound.
Jamal sneaks back into half guard.
Lee is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Lee working over Jamal with some ground and pound. Jamal looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Lee is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lee looks winded!
Jamal is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lee scores with a couple of nice shots.
Lee throwing shots but Jamal is blocking nicely.

Lee is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jamal sees it coming and defends easily.
Jamal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jamal wants to control but Lee is keeping busy.

Lee tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jamal trying to control but Lee postures up.
Jamal has his hands clasped together around Lee's back. He's all about the action.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Jamal.

We're going to have a standup here because Mohamed Jamal wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jamal has managed to clinch.

Jamal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lee slips a jab and a cross from Jamal.
Lee throws a push kick but Jamal slaps the foot to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rufus Lee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mohamed Jamal's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jamal moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Jamal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jamal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jamal somewhat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee.
Rufus Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jamal shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lee throws a right hand that Jamal ducks under and follows up with a left that Jamal also avoids with ease.

Jamal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Jamal is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.

and Jamal counters with a solid body kick.
Jamal thows a body shot but no joy.
Lee tries to clinch up.

Lee tries to keep at a distance but Jamal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lee wants to stall.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jamal fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jamal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.
Jamal takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck for Lee with that takedown attempt.
Lee looks to clinch
and Jamal counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jamal.

Jamal closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard.
Lee is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jamal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!
Rufus Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jamal moves into range and clinches up with Lee.

Jamal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jamal lands a knee to the body.

Jamal breaks the clinch.
Lee tries to clinch but Jamal moves out of range.

Jamal shoots in and gets a takedown into Lee's guard.
Jamal wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jamal moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jamal lands a decent shot there.
Jamal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lee throws an elbow that misses. Jamal uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lee's guard. Nice move by Jamal!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jamal stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lee throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jamal.
Horrible takedown by Jamal or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.

Jamal clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.
Jamal fails to pull guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lee wants a takedown.
Jamal is looking to take this one to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee connects with the punch.
Jamal goes for a double leg but Lee avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lee continues to drive forward.

Jamal wants to stall.
Jamal can't find room to land a body shot as Lee controls the action.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jamal fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jamal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jamal tries to clinch up.
Jamal plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Jamal tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jamal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mohamed Jamal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Jamal, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Jamal against the cage but Jamal circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mohamed Jamal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rufus Lee.
Sloppy strikes from Lee. Those never looked like landing.
Lee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
An inside leg kick lands from Jamal.
Jamal uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lee has time to react.
Jamal throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.
Jamal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jamal tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lee defends well and Jamal ends up having to push Lee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The referee calls for Jamal to work.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jamal pulls Lee into guard.
Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jamal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lee pushes Jamal off looking to stand but Jamal dives back in and keeps control.

Jamal stands up and beckons Lee to join him on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jamal looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jamal passes into side control, despite Lee's attempt to control the position.

Jamal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lee wants to get back to his feet but Jamal drags him back down.
Jamal happy to just control the position for now.
Lee tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jamal presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Jamal is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lee to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lee shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lee is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jamal cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jamal is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lee can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jamal content just to control the position here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mohamed Jamal showed his dominance in that final round.
