The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macloud clinches up with Thomas and pushes him back against the cage.
Thomas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Macloud is pressed up against the cage. Thomas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Macloud down to the mat. Macloud avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Macloud feints and as Thomas raises his hands in defense, Macloud changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Macloud slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Macloud is working Thomas over with some ground and pound from side control.
Macloud controls the position.
Macloud has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Macloud is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Thomas is trying to escape and Macloud transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Thomas is forced to tap! Nice work there by Macloud! Very nice indeed!
