Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jah Greger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tankus Mopankus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mopankus drives through with a takedown into guard. Greger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mopankus trying to control the position from guard on top but Greger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mopankus looking to pass the guard. Mopankus has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Greger is proving hard to escape from. Greger controls Mopankus momentarily but Mopankus frees himself. Greger striking off his back but it's not causing Mopankus any problems. Greger looking for a sweep. Not yet Greger, not yet. Greger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mopankus wants to control from the top but Greger keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Greger with a lazy takedown attempt and Mopankus counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Greger! Greger is desperately trying to improve his position but Mopankus has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mopankus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Greger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mopankus controlling from the full mount. Mopankus lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Greger is looking to get to half guard. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mopankus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mopankus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Greger can't escape the position.
Greger is squirming around, avoiding Mopankus's attempts to control the action. Mopankus lands a heavy elbow. Mopankus takes Greger's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Greger wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Greger tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mopankus prevents Greger from getting the reversal. Greger looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Mopankus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Greger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mopankus avoiding Greger 's attempts to control his hands. Mopankus landing with strikes. Greger is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Mopankus.

Greger wants to hold on but Mopankus pushes him away. Mopankus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Greger looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Greger wants to control but Mopankus is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mopankus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mopankus is trying to stand up here but Greger is controlling him well. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mopankus has eaten all the pies! Greger thows a huge punch but Mopankus dodges it nicely.
Greger slips a nice elbow through Mopankus's hands, connecting with Mopankus's forehead. Greger is thwarting Mopankus's attempts to control the position. Mopankus is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mopankus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mopankus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Greger counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Greger. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mopankus can do anything to dispel that myth. Mopankus trying to control the position.
Greger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Greger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Greger looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mopankus is keeping the position for now. Mopankus wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Greger is now in half guard. Greger stalling. Greger works his way into full mount! Mopankus tries to hold on but Greger postures up.

Greger lands a big shot there that rocks Mopankus but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mopankus is squirming around, avoiding Greger's attempts to control the action. Mopankus is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Greger tries for a takedown but Mopankus circles away easily and Mopankus counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jah Greger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mopankus working over Greger with some ground and pound. Greger looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Greger tries to get to full guard but Mopankus has control of the leg. Mopankus blocks the strikes from Greger.

Tankus Mopankus has got the better of the ground game so far. Mopankus lands with a punch from half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Greger trying to control here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mopankus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Greger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mopankus wants to control but Greger postures up. Greger staying calm. Mopankus wants to control but Greger postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greger wants to take a breather but Mopankus manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Greger. Greger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Greger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mopankus is keeping the position for now. Mopankus keeping moving, preventing Greger from controlling successfully. Mopankus lands an upkick as Greger stands over him. Greger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Mopankus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mopankus forces Greger back against the cage and clinches. Mopankus looking for a takedown. Greger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Still in the clinch, Mopankus scores with a nice short uppercut. Mopankus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mopankus throws a right and a left that both miss. Greger misses with a takedown and Mopankus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Greger is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mopankus tries to free his leg and advance position but Greger is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mopankus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Greger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mopankus throws and elbow that misses. Greger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mopankus's guard. Nice move by Greger! Mopankus looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Greger is stalling in the full guard. Greger trying to control but Mopankus is working from the bottom. Mopankus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Tankus Mopankus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mopankus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
