Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Okada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Okada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okada shoots in and drives through. Nakamura sprawls well.
Nakamura connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Okada shoots in but Nakamura avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nakamura.
Okada shoots and misses
and Nakamura counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiro Okada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura tries to close the distance and clinch but Okada swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nakamura uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and Nakamura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Nakamura cracks Okada with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nakamura stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Okada is breathing heavily.
Nakamura scores with the left hand. Okada knows he should have avoided that one.

and Nakamura counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Okada slips a straight right by Nakamura.

and Nakamura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I looks like Nakamura might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okada wants to improve his position but Nakamura is controlling well.

That's time! Okada's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Okada takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nakamura lands a glancing blow to the side of Okada's head.

Okada closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nakamura to the mat! Nakamura manages to get full guard.
Nakamura pulls Okada in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Okada drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nakamura dives on top into guard.

Nakamura gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ryo Nakamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nakamura fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okada manages to avoid it.

and Nakamura counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nakamura.

Nakamura wants to get up but he can't break Okada's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Okada shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Okada takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Okada tries for a takedown but Nakamura circles away easily
and Nakamura makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nakamura is looking to clinch.
Nakamura wants to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryo Nakamura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nakamura tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Okada paws at him with a jab and circles away.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nakamura wants to stand up but Okada is controlling the position.
Nakamura is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Okada tries to get to full guard but Nakamura has control of the leg.
Hiro Okada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ryo Nakamura comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nakamura has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
