Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilya Messer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Allen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ilya Messer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Messer! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Messer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Allen. Allen misses with a shot to the body and Messer counters with a low kick, right behind Allen 's knee. Allen misses with an uppercut. A jab lands there for Allen. Allen fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Allen misses. Messer slips under a jab from Allen. Messer has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Messer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Allen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nice shot by Messer. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Allen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

so Messer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Messer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Messer advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Messer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Allen's head. Messer is pressing down on Allen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Allen is holding on for now. Messer is trying to work for a kimura but Allen is defending well.
Messer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen is trying to stand.
Allen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Messer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Allen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Messer not doing much here.
Messer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Allen trying to hold on to Messer's head to control him but Messer postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Messer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Allen defending well though. Allen wants to get back to full guard. Allen trying to control but Messer postures up.
Messer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Allen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Messer. Messer is looking to take a break and control but Allen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Messer trying to control from Allen's half guard. Allen has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Allen keeping moving, preventing Messer from controlling successfully. Allen manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Messer lands a slapping body shot.
Messer thows a body shot but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Allen throws a good cross that connects.
A combination from Allen does no damage. A nice combination there by Allen.
Mike Allen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters circling - Allen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Allen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Messer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Messer is rocked! Messer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Messer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Allen looks to land a left hand but Messer moved out of range nicely. Allen cracks Messer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Messer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Allen finish him?
Messer is still on wobbly legs! Can Allen finish him? Mike Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Allen moves out of range as Messer throws a body kick.
Messer has his takedown stuffed and Allen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Messer! Allen lets Messer back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Allen cracks a nice hook into Messer's ribs. Allen catches Messer with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Messer forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mike Allen! A very excited looking Mike Allen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
