Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Riviere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carrick Chulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riviere comes to the cage accompanied by Le Vagabond. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jean Riviere! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carrick Chulainn! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chulainn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Chulainn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nice body punch from Riviere. Riviere jabs at Chulainn's body. Riviere lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chulainn circles away quickly and effectively. Riviere swinging wildly here.
Riviere swings for the body but Chulainn moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Chulainn 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Carrick Chulainn has been cut. Riviere scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice uppercut there from Riviere. Chulainn feints and as Riviere raises his hands in defense, Chulainn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Riviere seems keen to control Chulainn's posture. Chulainn sitting in guard, not really doing much. Chulainn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chulainn postures up and lands a big shot to Riviere's brow. Riviere wants to stand up but Chulainn is controlling him. Riviere on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Riviere tries to get out of the position. Chulainn postures up.
Chulainn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chulainn closes the distance and clinches. Chulainn leaning his opponent against the cage. Chulainn has Riviere pressed against the cage, preventing Riviere from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chulainn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Chulainn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Riviere pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chulainn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Riviere trying to stall but Chulainn improves his position.
Riviere stops a takedown attempt from Chulainn.
Chulainn has a couple of punches blocked by Riviere.
Chulainn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riviere lands a lovely overhand right. Riviere lands a big uppercut and Chulainn crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Chulainn looks OK. Riviere waves Chulainn back to his feet!
Chulainn is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chulainn explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Chulainn is still on wobbly legs! Can Riviere finish him? Chulainn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riviere sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chulainn somewhat. Jean Riviere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carrick Chulainn. Riviere cracks Chulainn with a good jab. Chulainn looks up at the clock. Bad move! Riviere lands a right hand from hell, dropping Chulainn. Riviere pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Riviere! Our winner, Jean Riviere, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
