The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legs Ii darts in and clinches Lapinskas up against the cage.
Legs Ii looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Legs Ii keeping moving, preventing Lapinskas from controlling successfully.
Lapinskas stands and throws Legs Ii's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Legs Ii stops Lapinskas from passing to mount.
Lapinskas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Legs Ii, who protects the arm well.
Lapinskas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lapinskas is working to tighten his grip on Legs Ii's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Legs Ii has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lapinskas is really squeezing tight and eventually Legs Ii passes out! Lapinskas breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
