The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberdeen throws a lazy head kick
and Atkins counters with a good low kick that Aberdeen was not able to check.

Aberdeen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Aberdeen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Aberdeen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Atkins!
Atkins prevents Aberdeen from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Atkins avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Aberdeen.
You can see the frustration on Atkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Aberdeen is putting a hurting on Atkins here, landing some big shots from side control.

Aberdeen is working to tighten his grip on Atkins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Atkins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aberdeen is really squeezing tight and eventually Atkins passes out! Aberdeen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
