Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manu Krishna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tedja Ranu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manu Krishna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tedja Ranu! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ranu goes for a double leg but Krishna avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Krishna continues to drive forward. Ranu avoiding damage.
Ranu wants to take the fight to the mat but Krishna manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Ranu jumps guard but Krishna turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Manu Krishna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tedja Ranu. Krishna successfully pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ranu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Krishna works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Krishna is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ranu preventing the sweep. Ranu wants to control from the top but Krishna keeps moving. Krishna controls Ranu momentarily but Ranu frees himself. Ranu wanted to stand there but Krishna had control of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Krishna gets the takedown into side control. Krishna working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Krishna tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krishna has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Krishna tries to score with some ground and pound. Ranu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Krishna trying to control the action but Ranu is working from the bottom. Krishna has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Krishna working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krishna is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ranu has escaped the position, nice work there. Krishna tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ranu is looking for a sweep. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Krishna controlling the position. Krishna working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ranu trying to remain calm as Krishna controls from the top position. Krishna tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krishna has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ranu wants to control but Krishna postures up. Krishna tries to stand but Ranu is controlling his head. Krishna prevents Ranu from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Krishna politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Krishna prefers to stall for the moment though. Krishna trying to control the position but Ranu is working away. Ranu is trying to control Krishna's posture but Krishna avoids it. Ranu tries to buck Krishna off but Krishna is having none of it. Krishna creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krishna tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manu Krishna dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ranu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ranu moves in looking to clinch but Krishna pushes him off. Ranu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Krishna is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ranu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Krishna throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Ranu gets a clinch. Krishna has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ranu regains guard immediately. Ranu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Krishna postures up.
Ranu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Krishna's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krishna has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ranu trying to control the position from guard on top but Krishna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ranu tries to free his leg and advance position but Krishna is retaining full guard. Ranu throwing strikes from guard but Krishna blocks nicely. Ranu engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ranu wants to control from the top but Krishna keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tedja Ranu wasn't active enough on the ground. Krishna tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ranu is able to avoid easily. A leg kick checked by Krishna. Ranu shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Krishna eats them both and turns towards Ranu to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Krishna looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Krishna avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Krishna shoots in for a double leg but Ranu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manu Krishna. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ranu works his way to full guard. Good work. Krishna is stalling in the full guard. Ranu doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Krishna slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Manu Krishna wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Krishna defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ranu. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ranu fails in his attempt to clinch. Krishna closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Krishna is trying to maintain a safe position but Ranu gets an underhook and turns Krishna into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tedja Ranu will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Krishna's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Ranu shoots and misses and Krishna counters with a shoot takedown. Ranu fights it but they end up in guard. Krishna slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ranu wants to stand but Krishna is controlling the position. Krishna is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Krishna has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ranu is proving hard to escape from. Ranu looking to control but Krishna passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krishna is keen to just control but Ranu is a slippery customer. Krishna seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ranu has his hands clasped together around Krishna's back. He's all about the action. Ranu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Manu Krishna. Ranu doesn't manage to clinch there - Krishna circles away.

Ranu dives in and grabs Krishna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Krishna pushes down on Ranu's head and hops out. Krishna wants to clinch. Krishna is looking to clinch. Ranu stuffs the takedown. Ranu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Krishna's waist but Krishna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ranu off to one side. Ranu takes a swing at Krishna's ribcage but misses. Krishna scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Krishna tries to stand but Ranu is controlling his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krishna advances nicely into full mount. Krishna controlling from the full mount. Krishna can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ranu is looking to escape. Krishna controlling from mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ranu is just holding on here. Krishna manages to take his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Manu Krishna showed his dominance in that final round. I think Krishna has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
