The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feck throws a head kick that misses.
Askren's coach down at HEADHUNTERS FIGHT CLUB***$50p.w*** SPARRING GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Askren's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ben Askren hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Feck is controlling the pace.
Feck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Feck has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Askren is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Feck pulls his head out easily.
Feck seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Askren does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Askren is trying to maintain the position but Feck is very close to passing his half guard.

Feck postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Askren looks a forlorn figure.
Askren wants to control but Feck is having none of it.
Askren is in a horrible position here. Feck smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Feck lands a big shot there that rocks Askren but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Feck is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Askren can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Feck unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Askren wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Feck celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
