Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ici La Bas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dogg comes into the arena with Kickstart My Heart blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Dogg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ici La Bas! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in La Bas's guard. Dogg wants to pass the guard but La Bas is keeping the position. La Bas is looking for a triangle but Dogg pushes his legs off easily.
La Bas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Dogg is working La Bas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. La Bas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dogg could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. La Bas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. La Bas prevents Dogg from improving his position. La Bas controlling the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ici La Bas. Dogg scores with a takedown into La Bas's guard. Dogg is looking to work some ground and pound but La Bas has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Bas keeping moving, preventing Dogg from controlling successfully. La Bas pulls Dogg in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. La Bas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dogg's guard. Dogg wants to control but La Bas passes easily into half guard.
La Bas is controlling the pace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! La Bas is thwarting Dogg's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogg is pressing down on La Bas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. La Bas tries to free his leg and advance position but Dogg is retaining full guard. Dogg controls La Bas momentarily but La Bas frees himself. Dogg looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dogg trying to keep a closed guard but La Bas is proving a slippery customer.
Dogg seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ron Dogg. La Bas tries to sprawl but Dogg drives through with a takedown into half guard. La Bas is holding on to half guard well. Dogg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed La Bas's head.

La Bas connecting with a few gentle strikes. La Bas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dogg's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dogg's back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. La Bas has the hooks in. Dogg is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. A bit of a pause in the action here. La Bas controlling the positon. Dogg tries to escape but La Bas has the hooks in and won't let him break free. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. La Bas controls the position. Well, with La Bas on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Dogg is tapping out... Can he escape the position? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ron Dogg will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
La Bas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dogg to the mat! Dogg manages to get full guard. La Bas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. La Bas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dogg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. La Bas manages to get himself to full guard.
Dogg looking to sit in guard and control but La Bas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. La Bas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. La Bas passes Dogg's left leg - he's now in half guard. La Bas controlling the pace. Dogg is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ici La Bas was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dogg bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Bas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dogg wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by La Bas, who protects the arm well. Dogg goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, La Bas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dogg but great work by La Bas. Dogg can't do much from the bottom here. Dogg is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. La Bas controls the position from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dogg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. La Bas controls the position. Dogg can't do much from the bottom here. La Bas takes a little break here. Dogg wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. La Bas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dogg's guard. Dogg trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. La Bas stands and throws Dogg's legs to the side, diving into side control. La Bas has knee on belly and moves into mount. La Bas content just to control the position here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dogg looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
La Bas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ici La Bas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Dogg really wants to buck La Bas off and get back to his feet. La Bas fails to advance to Dogg's back. La Bas controlling from mount. Dogg regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. La Bas passes the guard and advances to mount! Dogg stops La Bas from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. La Bas controlling his opponent. La Bas looking for a guillotine from mount but Dogg is having none of it. Dogg gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. La Bas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. La Bas looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. La Bas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. La Bas is pressing down on Dogg's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dogg is holding on for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ici La Bas was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dogg throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dogg manages to get an easy takedown there - catching La Bas on his heels. He'll look to pass La Bas's guard now, I'm sure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. La Bas managing to control the position. La Bas lands an upkick as Dogg stands over him. Dogg wants to stand and escape but instead La Bas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. La Bas engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ici La Bas was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dogg drives through with a takedown into guard. Dogg trying to control the position from guard on top but La Bas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. La Bas pushes Dogg off and scrambles back to his feet.
La Bas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! La Bas controlling the action here. Ici La Bas has got the better of the ground game so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. La Bas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dogg!
And that's the end of the fight! Ici La Bas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think La Bas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
