The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saltzman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kucelj is trying to defend but Saltzman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Saltzman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kucelj with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saltzman cracks Kucelj with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Saltzman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kucelj can't escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kucelj takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Saltzman's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

A less than humble Jon Saltzman misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
