Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Protascio Agrabiado!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carr feints and as Agrabiado raises his hands in defense, Carr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Agrabiado controls Carr momentarily but Carr frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Agrabiado is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carr gets to his feet. Agrabiado looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Agrabiado throws a head kick that misses.

Agrabiado clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Carr breaks the clinch.
Protascio Agrabiado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carr looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Carr passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Agrabiado is trying to stand back up but Carr is controlling him

Carr is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Carr is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carr is looking for a kimura but Agrabiado is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Carr to get the leverage.
Agrabiado punching from the bottom.
Agrabiado has a hand on Carr's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Carr takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Agrabiado wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Carr jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Agrabiado manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Agrabiado tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Carr presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Agrabiado is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carr raining down shots from the mount!
A nice elbow there by Carr.

Carr stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Agrabiado goes for a double leg but Carr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carr continues to drive forward.
Agrabiado looks winded!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carr landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Agrabiado is trying to push Carr away but Carr has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

William Carr dominated that round.

Agrabiado moves into the clinch successfully.
Agrabiado has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A frustrated look appears on Carr's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Carr tries to break free but Agrabiado pushes him back against the cage.
Carr can't break the clinch.

Carr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carr wants it to stay on the feet.
William Carr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Carr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Carr pressing his opponent against the cage.
Agrabiado is trying to force a seperation but Carr has the dominant position.

Agrabiado wants to stall.
Agrabiado jumps guard but Carr turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Carr crunches a lovely knee into Agrabiado's ribcage.

Carr breaks from the clinch.
Agrabiado closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carr circles away.
William Carr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Protascio Agrabiado.

Carr looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Agrabiado!
Agrabiado is breathing heavily.
Agrabiado tries to control but Carr manages to take his back.

Carr is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Agrabiado is tapping out! This one is all over!
