Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Noel Flake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sven Kramer! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kramer wants to clinch but Flake slips to the side and Flake counters by clinching up. Kramer is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Kramer taking a breather. Nice elbow from Kramer. Kramer avoiding damage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Flake. Flake manages to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Flake is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kramer is aware though and is defending well. Kramer wants to stand but Flake is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flake keeping moving, preventing Kramer from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flake trying to keep a closed guard but Kramer is proving a slippery customer.
Flake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kramer is one step ahead there. Flake has a closed guard, preventing Kramer from standing up. Flake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kramer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Flake wants to sweep here but Kramer controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kramer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Flake throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Flake looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Flake is breathing heavily. Flake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kramer is one step ahead there. Flake is looking for a triangle here but Kramer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flake gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Flake is looking for a sweep. Kramer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kramer trying to mount his opponent but Flake defends it. Kramer wants to get back to his feet.
Flake is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flake is looking to control Kramer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Flake avoid being mounted? Kramer trying to mount his opponent but Flake defends it. Flake is trying to control but can't.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Noel Flake just wasn't active enough. Kramer is looking to clinch. Kramer wants to clinch but Flake slips to the side and Flake counters by moving into the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Flake looking for a takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kramer pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Noel Flake will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Flake stands up from guard. Let's bang! Flake moves into the clinch. Kramer pushes off an throws an elbow but Flake leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Kramer throws an elbow but misses. Flake tries to pull guard but Kramer holds him up against the cage and eventually Flake drops back down to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Flake takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kramer seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Flake is working for takedown but Kramer is calmly controlling the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kramer is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Flake is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noel Flake. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kramer. Flake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kramer smiles and moves away.

Kramer tries to clinch but Flake moves away and Flake counters with a series of strikes. Kramer will be more careful next time no doubt. Kramer looks to clinch and Flake counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flake. This has been an exciting period of action! Kramer wants to stand up but Flake is controlling him. Kramer trying to keep a closed guard but Flake is proving a slippery customer.

A frustrated look appears on Flake's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kramer is pressed up against the cage. Flake has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kramer down to the mat. Kramer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kramer tries to clinch but Flake is having none of it. Kramer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flake swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kramer tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Kramer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kramer wants to clinch but Flake slips to the side and Flake counters by clinching up. Kramer lands a damaging elbow. Kramer misses with a hook from the clinch. Flake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Flake keeps the fight on the outside. Kramer doesn't manage to clinch there - Flake circles away.
Sven Kramer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kramer tries to close the distance and clinch but Flake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kramer tries to clinch but Flake moves out of range. Kramer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kramer looks to clinch and Flake holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kramer. Kramer prevents the takedown attempt.
Kramer creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Flake's defenses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kramer is trying to maintain a safe position but Flake gets an underhook and turns Kramer into the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kramer smiles and moves away.

Noel Flake dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

It looks like Noel Flake has been cut. Flake tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kramer smiles and moves away.

Kramer looks to clinch and Flake counters with a low kick, right behind Kramer 's knee. Kramer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Flake manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Noel Flake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight stays on the outside here - Kramer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kramer is looking to clinch but Flake is avoiding it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kramer wants to stand up but Flake is controlling him. Noel Flake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Flake trying to control but Kramer is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Noel Flake wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kramer wants to clinch but Flake slips to the side and Flake counters with a nice kick to the body. Flake swats away the attempt to clinch by Kramer. Kramer wants to clinch up but Flake keeps it at a distance. Kramer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kramer tries to clinch up. Kramer looks to clinch and Flake cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kramer moves to clinch but Flake breaks away and Flake counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Kramer lands but Flake takes it in his stride. Kramer wants to clinch and Flake counters with a left and a right that stings Kramer. Flake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kramer tries to clinch but Flake moves away and Flake counters with a three punch combo that has Kramer backing up. Kramer nods at Flake to acknowledge the strikes. Flake keeps the fight on the outside. Kramer moves in looking to clinch but Flake pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Kramer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kramer wants to clinch. Kramer tries to clinch but Flake moves out of range. Sven Kramer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Noel Flake is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flake swats away the attempt to clinch by Kramer. Kramer throws a head kick that misses and Flake counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kramer's guard now.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Sven Kramer. I think Flake has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
