PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Semax Madurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesys Kazlauskas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cesys Kazlauskas!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madurov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kazlauskas dives in for a single leg takedown but Madurov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kazlauskas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Madurov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Madurov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kazlauskas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Madurov moves into the clinch.

Madurov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kazlauskas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Madurov pinned against the cage. Madurov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Semax Madurov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cesys Kazlauskas.
Madurov throws a series of punches but Kazlauskas avoids them all with ease.
Madurov tries to clinch but Kazlauskas moves out of range.
Kazlauskas goes for a double leg but Madurov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Madurov continues to drive forward.

Madurov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Madurov moves into range and clinches up with Kazlauskas.
Kazlauskas misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Madurov.

Madurov tries to close the distance and clinch but Kazlauskas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kazlauskas takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Cesys Kazlauskas has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Madurov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Madurov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Madurov lands with a kick to the ribs.
Madurov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kazlauskas back to the cage. Madurov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Kazlauskas swats away the attempt to clinch by Madurov.

Kazlauskas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Madurov's half guard.

Kazlauskas is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Madurov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
