Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Len Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Sickler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Len Simon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Sickler! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simon keeps the fight on the outside. Sickler circles away from the clinch attempt.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sickler. Simon gets caught flat footed, as Sickler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Simon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sickler is one step ahead there. Simon keeping full guard, as Sickler tries to pass. Sickler is in close to Simon's body, working some short punches and elbows. Simon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sickler's guard. Sickler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Simon lands a couple of elbows. Simon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Simon lands a couple of digs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sickler seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Simon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sickler wants to sweep here but Simon controlling him for the moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Simon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Simon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Simon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Simon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Simon lands a couple of elbows. Sickler throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sickler has Simon pulled in close to control his posture. Sickler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Simon stacks Sickler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Simon! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simon gets to mount! Sickler was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Simon raining down hammerfists from mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Simon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sickler takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Simon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sickler looks a forlorn figure.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sickler can do anything to dispel that myth. Simon lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sickler hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sickler wants to hold on but Simon pushes him away. Sickler is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Len Simon dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Simon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Simon tries to score a body lock takedown but Sickler shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sickler is trying to force a seperation but Simon has the dominant position. Sickler managing to block the knees to the body from Simon.
Sickler presses Simon against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Sickler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Simon stalling in the clinch but Sickler improves position. Simon prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sickler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Simon after a bit of a struggle. Sickler working hard to break the clinch. Sickler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Simon walks away with a smile on his face. Sickler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Len Simon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Sickler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simon tries to close the distance and clinch but Sickler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Simon tries to clinch up. Sickler moves in looking to clinch but Simon pushes him off. Sickler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Simon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Simon slips a jab and a cross from Sickler.
Sickler throws a big shot that misses. Simon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Simon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sickler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Simon gets a takedown into half guard. Sickler tries to roll over but Simon keeps him under control. Sickler is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simon lands with a punch from half guard. Simon working over Sickler with some ground and pound. Sickler looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Sickler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Simon working the head and body with strikes. Simon is nestled in close to Sickler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Simon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Sickler is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Sickler is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Simon is landing with some decent strikes but Sickler is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Simon working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sickler tries to hold on but Simon postures up. Sickler sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simon decides to stand up. Simon gets a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Simon slips a nice elbow through Sickler's hands, connecting with Sickler's forehead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Simon connects with a nice short shot to Sickler's temple. Sickler is trying to control but can't.
Simon looks to score some points with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sickler clinches up with Simon and pushes him back against the cage. Simon has Sickler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sickler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Simon is trying to trip Sickler. He has hold of a leg but Sickler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Simon persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Simon throws a big right hand that misses. Simon cracks Sickler with a solid left hand. Simon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sickler looking to control.

Sickler is looking to control Simon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sickler avoid being mounted? Sickler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Simon working the head and body with strikes. Simon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sickler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sickler is desperately trying to improve his position but Simon has a good base and remains in mount. Simon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Simon lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Simon has the hooks in. Sickler is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Simon connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Sickler to escape the position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simon is landing with strikes from the back. And that's the end of the fight! Len Simon showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Simon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
