Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Hart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Sheck! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sheck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hart looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sheck is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hart is trying to escape and Sheck transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hart is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sheck! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Roger Sheck! Roger Sheck seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Richie Hart was interviewed post fight and said 'Thou may have defeated me on this occasion however you shall always be a serf to my king. '.
