Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Waits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waits is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tom Waits - Bad As Me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Winston Waits!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waits misses with a series of wild punches.
Roman Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Waits with that takedown attempt.
Volkov keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Waits shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Waits showed some decent athleticism there.

Waits is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Volkov is just riding it out for now. Waits eventually gives up the hold.
Waits throwing shots but Volkov is blocking nicely.
Waits is trying to control. Volkov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Waits is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Volkov is trying to stand up here but Waits is controlling him well.

Volkov pushes Waits off and gets back to his feet.

Waits shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Volkov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Volkov is pushing Waits's head away, looking to escape. Waits manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waits is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Volkov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Waits gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Volkov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Waits lets go of the hold and Volkov can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Winston Waits decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
