Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Haymaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gerald Haymaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haymaker throws a low kick, looking for Lee's leg but Lee calmly moves out of range.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haymaker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Haymaker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Haymaker misses with a takedown attempt

and Lee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Haymaker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lee.

Haymaker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Haymaker looks to land a combination. Lee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Haymaker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lee tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Haymaker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lee won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Lee parries the strikes from Haymaker easily there. Haymaker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lee to escape.
Lee wants to control but Haymaker postures up.
Lee pushes Haymaker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Haymaker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Haymaker asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lee is fighting off a takedown attempt but Haymaker is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lee to the mat. Lee regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Haymaker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Haymaker wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Lee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Haymaker to the mat! Haymaker manages to get full guard.

Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Haymaker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bruce Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Haymaker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Haymaker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lee is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Haymaker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lee's back instead.

Bruce Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
