Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samir Oliva! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliva throws the kick towards the body but Drake avoids it. Drake blocks a leg kick. Oliva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Oliva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Oliva. Oliva throws a sloppy head kick and Drake moves out of range easily. We've been told by Drake's head coaches at Grappling Pro Helsinki (14 coaches/25 fighters cap that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Oliva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Drake. Drake throws a hook but Oliva avoids it easily. Drake moves out of range of the leg kick from Oliva. Samir Oliva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oliva misses with a body kick. Oliva lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Drake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Oliva's guard. Oliva wants to get back to his feet but Drake is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Drake trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drake with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake postures up and lands a big shot to Oliva's brow. Oliva wants to stand but Drake is controlling the position. Drake throws a big elbow that misses. Drake tries to free his leg and advance position but Oliva is retaining full guard. Oliva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Drake works a leg free and moves into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Drake is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oliva is just riding it out for now. Drake eventually gives up the hold. Oliva trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake wants to pass to mount but Oliva is defending the position. Drake perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Drake trying to control from half guard but Oliva is working away. Oliva wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Drake is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Drake not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oliva can do anything to dispel that myth. Drake lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Drake not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drake trying to control the action but Oliva is working from the bottom. Drake is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliva tried to score with a low kick but Drake checks it. Oliva attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Drake closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Drake cracks Oliva with a big elbow. Drake lands a nice forearm strike. Drake in side control, throwing shots but Oliva defends. Oliva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drake landing a few strikes.

Drake throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Oliva works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Drake lands with a punch from half guard. Drake is nestled in close to Oliva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Drake passes to full mount! Drake fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliva is bucking up trying to escape but Drake cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Drake postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Oliva looks a forlorn figure.
Oliva is rocked! Oliva takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Drake's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Drake!
