Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Toyotomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jai Setright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Setright comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Dagger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideyoshi Toyotomi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jai Setright! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toyotomi slips under a jab from Setright. Toyotomi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Setright throws a head kick but Toyotomi moves out of range.
Toyotomi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Setright keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Setright fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Toyotomi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Setright misses with a straight right. A nice leg kick lands there from Setright. Toyotomi is looking to land body kicks. Setright throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good leg kick by Toyotomi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Toyotomi shoots in but no luck this time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toyotomi misses with a low kick.
Toyotomi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Toyotomi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Setright throws a low kick but Toyotomi avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Setright closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Setright takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Setright trying to land knees to the body.
I was talking to Toyotomi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Toyotomi tries to break the clinch but Setright is controlling the position. Setright landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Toyotomi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Setright fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Setright fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Toyotomi on the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Setright dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Toyotomi. That did some damage! Setright on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Setright fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hideyoshi Toyotomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toyotomi slips under a jab. Toyotomi thows a body kick. Setright tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Toyotomi. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hideyoshi Toyotomi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Setright tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Setright has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Toyotomi. Nice cross by Setright. Toyotomi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Toyotomi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Setright stuffs the takedown. Horrible takedown by Toyotomi or perhaps it was just good defense by Setright which made him look bad. Setright lands a big head kick that sends Toyotomi tumbling to the mat! Setright takes a step backwards and waves Toyotomi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Toyotomi is rocked!
It looks like Hideyoshi Toyotomi has been cut. Setright takes a swing at Toyotomi's ribcage but misses. Toyotomi swings away with a leg kick that misses. Setright circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Toyotomi drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Setright follows Toyotomi to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jai Setright! Jai Setright seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
