Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shawn Albright!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albright is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Albright throws a head kick that misses.
Albright tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Rogers counter with a right hand.
Albright wants to land a leg kick but Rogers is out of range.
We've been told by Rogers's head coaches at Warrior MMA and Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Albright on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Rogers sizes up Albright with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers jabs Albright to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rogers misses the shot to the body.
Albright tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rogers counters with a nice right hand that sends Albright toppling to the canvas! Albright scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rogers finish him?!
and Rogers counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Albright! He's just covering up as Rogers starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
