Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasan The Asassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elmo Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jasan The Asassin! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Asassin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lewis was covering up waiting for the punch and The Asassin finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The Asassin wants to pass the guard but Lewis is keeping the position. The Asassin trying to move into half guard but instead Lewis has managed to sweep! Lewis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lewis drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Asassin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Asassin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Asassin! The Asassin tries for a kimura but Lewis is defending well. The Asassin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lewis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for The Asassin but great work by Lewis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis stands up and beckons The Asassin to his feet. Lewis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Asassin, pushing him back against the cage. Lewis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. The Asassin has picked Lewis up - he's going for a ride! The Asassin dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The Asassin is working for a kimura but Lewis is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The Asassin is keen to just control but Lewis is a slippery customer. The Asassin passes to full mount! Lewis's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lewis is squirming around, avoiding The Asassin's attempts to control the action. This has been an exciting period of action! The Asassin throws some wild stikes that Lewis manages to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis tries to hold on but The Asassin pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Asassin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Lewis wants to control but The Asassin is having none of it. The Asassin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Lewis really wants to buck The Asassin off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by The Asassin.
The Asassin throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The Asassin is looking to stand but The Asassin has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lewis flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The Asassin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lewis has worked his arm free - good work by Lewis!

Jasan The Asassin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lewis gets caught napping as The Asassin dives in and scores a takedown. Lewis manages to retain guard. Lewis trying to control the position here. Jasan The Asassin has got the better of the ground game so far. The Asassin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lewis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The Asassin, into his guard. Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lewis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis with a nice head shot there. Lewis postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lewis is working The Asassin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Asassin trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jasan The Asassin was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lewis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Asassin is trying to defend but Lewis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The Asassin has hold of Lewis's hands but Lewis slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lewis passes into side control, despite The Asassin's attempt to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Asassin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on The Asassin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lewis lands some shots froms side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The Asassin is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The Asassin tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elmo Lewis dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
The Asassin moves out of range of the body kick from Lewis.
The Asassin dives in and scores a takedown into Lewis's guard. Lewis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The Asassin prevents Lewis from getting back to his feet. The Asassin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lewis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lewis has escaped and now he's on top! Lewis is looking to stand up but The Asassin won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Elmo Lewis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. The Asassin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lewis can't do much from the bottom here. The Asassin working the ground and pound but Lewis is defending the strikes. The Asassin is trying to ground and pound but Lewis uses the momentary lack of control by The Asassin to regain half guard. Lewis kicks off The Asassin and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The Asassin wants to stand and escape but instead Lewis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lewis throws a big elbow that misses. Lewis wants to stand but The Asassin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis with a nice head shot there. Lewis stops The Asassin from standing up. Lewis works over The Asassin with some ground and pound from guard. The Asassin is looking to stand up but Lewis isn't so interested in that idea. The Asassin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lewis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lewis is standing up over The Asassin. The Asassin looks to escape but Lewis dives into side control.
The Asassin gets back to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lewis stands up out of the half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elmo Lewis. I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
