Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Warson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul The Ribber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oliver Warson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul The Ribber! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Ribber shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Warson trying to strike off his back.
Warson wants to improve his position but instead The Ribber has moved into half guard.
The Ribber trying to mount his opponent but Warson defends it. Warson tries to get to full guard but The Ribber has control of the leg. Still in half guard, The Ribber seems content to control. The Ribber wants to control but Warson is keeping him busy. Warson wants to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The Ribber shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Ribber showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The Ribber gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Warson fails with the takedown and The Ribber counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The Ribber looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. The Ribber content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Warson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Ribber's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Ribber's back! The Ribber tries to break free.
Warson has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for The Ribber. The Ribber is covering up but some of the strikes from Warson are getting through and doing damage.
The Ribber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Warson landing with strikes. The Ribber tries to break free.
The Ribber turns into Warson and is now in his guard.
Warson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The Ribber gets to his feet. Warson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The Ribber feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The Ribber stopping the sweep attempt from Warson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Ribber has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Warson is proving hard to escape from. Warson working for a triangle but The Ribber defends it easily.
The Ribber should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The Ribber controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Warson is working an open guard so The Ribber takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The Ribber closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - The Ribber lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The Ribber preventing the sweep. Warson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The Ribber in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Warson avoids the attempt from The Ribber to control. The Ribber might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Warson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The Ribber bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The Ribber stands up over Warson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Warson looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Ribber is one step ahead there. The Ribber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The Ribber stands and steps away. Warson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The Ribber throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The Ribber shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The Ribber tries to stand but Warson is controlling from the bottom. The Ribber works over Warson with some ground and pound from guard. The Ribber stands up from Warson's guard - The Ribber perhaps looking for a knockout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Warson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and The Ribber counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Warson drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Ribber pulls his leg out and moves away.

Warson with a poor takedown and The Ribber counters with a three punch combo that has Warson backing up. Warson nods at The Ribber to acknowledge the strikes. Warson has his takedown stuffed and The Ribber counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Warson's guard now. The Ribber controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The Ribber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Ribber slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The Ribber tries to free his leg and advance position but Warson is retaining full guard. Warson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Warson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. The Ribber is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Warson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take The Ribber's back instead. The Ribber is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Warson dodges the punch combination from The Ribber.
Warson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and The Ribber counters with a series of strikes. Warson will be more careful next time no doubt. A combination from The Ribber does no damage. The Ribber bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Warson regains half guard. Warson gets full guard. The Ribber trying to control but Warson is working from the bottom. The Ribber stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and The Ribber counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Warson's guard now. That's one minute gone in the round. Warson wants to sweep but no luck. The Ribber has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The Ribber controlling from the top position. The Ribber sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Warson's guard. The Ribber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The Ribber trying to control the action but Warson just sinks the hooks in. The Ribber manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Warson is now in side control. Oliver Warson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The Ribber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The Ribber is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Warson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Warson's back! The Ribber softening up his opponent with strikes here.
The Ribber has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Warson's body.
I really don't envy Warson right now.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

The Ribber is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. The Ribber gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. The Ribber gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. The Ribber apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The Ribber darts in and clinches Warson up against the cage. Warson jumps guard but The Ribber stands there with Warson around his waist. Warson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Warson wants to hit a switch here but The Ribber passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Warson there! The Ribber sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul The Ribber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well The Ribber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
