The crowd seem to be enjoying Sigbjornsson's choice of entrance music: Greta Salóme & Jónsi....Never Forget. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunnar Sigbjornsson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sigbjornsson sprawls well. Sigbjornsson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schwarzeneg gets slowly back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sigbjornsson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sigbjornsson is trying to get an arm triangle but Schwarzeneg is defending well.
Schwarzeneg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sigbjornsson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sigbjornsson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
It looks like Sigbjornsson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Sigbjornsson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schwarzeneg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Schwarzeneg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sigbjornsson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Let's hope that Sigbjornsson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sigbjornsson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sigbjornsson swings around for an armbar but Schwarzeneg sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sigbjornsson's guard.

Sigbjornsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schwarzeneg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Goran Schwarzeneg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunnar Sigbjornsson.

Well Sigbjornsson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
